The Visitor Center sits within the  Oglala Lakota reservation, although it is a unit of Badlands National Park.  Created with tribal input, the exhibits tell stories about Oglala Lakota history and direct visitors to attractions on the reservation. We structured exhibit content around traditional winter count calendars and the four directions.
